big square beads, hand-carved then batiked with a unique mud cloth print
stretchy bracelet will fit most wrists
materials used: hand carved cow bone, small beads, connector elastic
size: approximately 6.5" un-stretched
due to the creativity of our artisans, exact prints may vary as each piece is one of a kind.
How is this made?
Batik is a time-consuming process. First wax is applied to the bones in the desired pattern. The bones are then dipped in dye, parts that are waxed take the dye. Once the wax is removed, a print like the one on these bracelets is produced.
Additionally, when a cow is used for food, not a single piece is wasted! These unique bracelets are eco-friendly and sustainable, as they promote the ethical use of animals for needed sustenance, needed employment, and independence and empowerment for entire communities.
Beautiful handmade jewelry with a feel good backstory for you, safe living wage employment for our artisan partners . . . everybody wins!
