A little candid camera action for you!
I like this video. It appeals to my reality tv/documentary fixation. With it's catchy music, and silent movie feel, it's quick shots keeping the story going, and it's low-key mystery: what is this social experiment anyway?? It drew me in.
And I like this little tiny docu-drama because it's heart beats like ours here at Do Good Shop; it champions the same cause. Freedom. Justice. Fair for all over fast for me. And ahhh, when the music swells and the people start pushing that little green button, that moment when they cross the threshold into awareness, connecting the dots in a way they haven't before. When a new person, and then another, and another joins the fight again modern day slavery . . . well, it just gives me the warm fuzzies.
The world can be a hard place. Just watch the news. The magnitude and sadness of it all can be daunting. But let's not let that paralyze us into inaction. We all have a voice. We all have a vote. We all have the ability to cross the threshold into knowledge. Into action. We all have the ability to put our own drop in the bucket for making a real difference in this world. The way we shop, the companies we choose, and where we spend our shopping dollars can and does make a difference!
It's true, there is much to do; we cannot do it all. But we most certainly can do something. And that is exciting. Let's do some good, friends!
“I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.”
