Artisans in Bali use several techniques to create their variety of beautiful handcrafts, including carving, pyrography, and hand painting.

For decades, our partner organization, Serrv, has provided artisans with trading partnership and interest-free advance payment for orders. Through sales of their products, nearly 100 artisans from small family workshops receive fair wages, help marketing their products, improved working conditions, and access to national and international markets.

Friendsheep was created by Valeria Isaacs, a zero waste entrepreneur, disability advocate, mother, wife, nature lover, and former biologist. Her pursuit of her passions for ecology and sustainable living was interrupted when a spinal cord injury left her quadriplegic at age 22.

Friendsheep Orange Organic Essential Oil is a mood-boosting, cleansing, and energizing oil with a sweet citrusy aroma. It helps reduce stress, encourage creativity, and freshen the air. Sweet orange oil can be diffused, applied topically, and used for DIY cleaning.

Our Organic Orange Essential Oil is 100% pure, extracted in the USA by cold pressing the rind of the sweet orange, Citrus sinensis.

• Aromatherapy: use in a diffuser or air purifier. Add up to 3-5 drops per 100ml of water.
• Topically:  Apply topically, after diluting with a carrier oil, to help to soothe skin. Known for its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, it nourishes dry, irritated and acne-prone skin, and because it contains retinoids it’ll help brighten your skin. Add 4-6 drops in 20ml of carrier oil.
• In the bathtub: Make a relaxing and mood-boosting bath blend by adding 1 cup Epsom salts, 5 drops sweet orange oil, 3 drops lavender oil, and 3 drops clary sage oil to a warm bath.
• To naturally clean your home: Sweet orange oil is a powerful cleanser to combat stubborn dirt and grease. Make a natural cleaner by combining 1 cup water, ½ cup white vinegar, 15-20 drops sweet orange oil and or lemon oil in a spray bottle. Use the spray to clean floors, surfaces, countertops, and windows. Shake well before use.   
• In the dryer on your wool dryer balls: add a few (5-7) drops to one eco dryer ball before tossing them in your dryer. Repeat as needed.
• To scent your dry laundry: add a few (5-7) drops to your Friendsheep eco fresheners before putting them in your drawers, closets, or a duffle bag.

Do Good Shop founder Jenni has the pleasure of meeting Zellipah and her family when she was one of the keynote speakers at the annual Fair Trade Federation Conference.  Miss Zellipah shared that she went from being a young woman vulnerable to poverty and exploitation, to an artisan herself, and eventually to the founder and owner of her own fair trade company!

Zellipah, began Gitzell FairTrade and showcased the artwork at both craft fairs and festivals. Zellipah continued working with artisans from several African countries and supporting over 220 families. The increasing sales at the craft fairs and festivals eventually led her to begin selling wholesale to US shops.

• Wipe with a damp cloth if necessary.
• Press, do not rub stains or spills from your rug as this may spread the stain and loosen the jute fibers.
• Be sure to dry properly after water damage.
• As with other fabrics, keep out of direct sunlight, or color can change and fade.

• Designed for all day comfort, made from super-soft, eco-friendly triblend fabric
• 25% U.S. cotton, 50% recycled polyester and 25% rayon
• Fabric is a slightly heavier weight than many triblends on the market, keeping this shirt looking great wash after wash!
• Buttons & labels are made of recycled plastic 
• Each t-shirt contains the equivalent of approximately five plastic water bottles, taking them out of the landfills and repurposing them in your wardrobe.

Droves of people have been violently driven from their homes and property throughout Southern Mexico, Venezuela, El Salvador, and Honduras.  Through the kindness of a Bishop at a church in Tijuana, hundreds of refugees and their children have bunks, cots, pieces of floor and a roof over their heads.  

To combat depression, homelessness, poverty, and further exploitation on the streets, the refugee women are learning a marketable skill:  sewing!
