Gladys and her husband, Roberto, have two children together: Adela was born in 1998 and Mabel was born in 2001. Gladys works with her husband, her sister, her sister’s husband, and a few other employees from her workshop at home. She uses acrylic yarn and cotton fabrics to make shawls, scarves, blouses and headbands. She inherited the trade from her parents and has been selling her products since 2000. Her goal is to increase her production and become a small business one day.
