Your purchase helps marginalized artisan groups in East India build their handcrafting skills, enhancing their access to markets and information, and increasing their income and productivity in a safe and sustainable way.
Through sales of their products, artisans from more than 70 craft groups (many are women), receive improved working conditions, stable incomes, and benefits from health campaigns. In addition, artisans receive help in finding needed export outlets for their handcrafts.

Your purchase helps preserve traditional Vietnamese craft skills while guaranteeing fair wages, safety, and social welfare for artisans. Through sales of their products, artisans who are marginalized or disadvantaged, including ethnic minorities in remote areas and people with disabilities, develop craft skills, design products, learn business skills, and organize into production groups. These artisans create handmade ceramics in Bat Trang, a small village on the Red River famous for its ceramic pottery since the 15th century.

I M P A C T
Each calming stone is artfully hand-carved from a single piece of Kisii soapstone, found in the hills of southwestern Kenya. Mining the soapstone from surface hills is a labor-intensive process, using little to no machinery. Artisans follow traditional methods passed down through the ages, working with shovels, picks, axes and machetes to carve out large soapstone chunks, which are then carved using small hand tools into beautiful artwork!
Tabaka Chigware Youths Self Help Group is one of our newest artisan partner groups who we began partnering with during the pandemic. Each purchase you make provides more safe, living wage work for this wonderful community, in high need in this time of global crisis and recovery.

I M P A C T
This beautiful nature themed ceramic luminary is handcrafted in a family workshop in the community of San Juan de Oriente, Nicaragua. The intricate designs are etched by hand using a sharpened bicycle spoke. Each luminary is created out of local clay, turned on a kick wheel, hand-painted, and wood-fired in a beehive-shaped kiln. Artisans receive business training and product development/design and no-interest micro-loans and direct grants for workshop capacity building. This holistic approach to business enables our artisan partners to grow their businesses and access new markets without creating cycles of dependency. Your purchase does good!
