How much does it cost annually for a family to live in Mexico?

SHOCKINGLY, it only takes approximately $15K per YEAR to support a mom and 2 kids in Tijuana! Our U.S. dollars go so far in Mexico. Our impact there is exponential compared to here in the States. And the return on investment is truly life changing, for those who receive and those who are privileged to give.

What does my partnership money provide?

THROUGH PARTNERSHIP, you provide guaranteed hours and wages. This guarantees a family's basic needs will be met each month for a span of 1-3 years, regardless of the ups and downs of the retail economy. You make a new life attainable: with reliable monthly income, a vulnerable family can plan, save, and eventually take the leap and move into their own safe housing, like Andrea and her kids (pictured above) did!  

Who can become a partner?  

Anyone!  WE ARE SEEKING a great-big-happy-family of many sponsors to come together for one purpose: sharing what we have so that survivor women and their families can move from barely surviving to thriving.

Can I contact my employer, church, or others to inquire about donating?

Yes, please do!  CORPORATIONS, family foundations, businesses, faith communities, individuals, book clubs, small groups, boy/girl scout troops. . .  float the idea of partnering with a woman and her family in need with the helpers in your community.  Sharing a partnership together is a great way to do good together.

Why Do Good Shop?

With tariffs on global imports, changes to USAID and immigration policies, and an economic downturn, displaced families are in crisis; the need is URGENT.

Do Good Shop is uniquely poised to meet this need quickly and effectively due to our ongoing, close connection with a Mexican refugee camp and it's survivor women over the last 4 years. 

Where do the funds from Do Good Shop's store sales go?

Partnership provides a completely separate income stream so that artisans can count on consistent paychecks, regardless of the ups and downs of the retail cycle and economy. 

Income from the sales of merchandise is earmarked for: 

The women and their families:

• emergency funds
• sick or family leave
• medical or prescription costs
• repairing or purchasing work equipment

Do Good Shop's administrative costs:

• Insurance, business licenses and professional fees
• Artisan materials and shipping
• Do Good Shop staff and payroll taxes

Do Good Shop's budget is made up of a mix of donations, grants, and retail sales. Product sales alone cannot cover the kind of life changing work we do.
